Dear fellow Board Gamers,
My name is Louis-Clément Schiltz, I am a student at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I am currently taking a course on online communities in which our group project is to help game designers launch a new board game called Gladiators. They have started an indiegogo campaign few months ago but didn't reach their funding target.
My group members and myself have to advise them on what went wrong and what should be improved for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign they are planning.
If you are interested in helping us, could you please fill in this 2 minutes survey by Wednesday, October 16th? http://bit.ly/1hOaPev
Also if you have any suggestions concerning the following questions, feel free to reply to this post:
- What are for you the most promising ways to interact with potential board gamers?
- How would you like game designers to interact with you the player ? Would you be willing to interact with them ?
- What are your expectations for an online community of fellow gamers ?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
If you want to have more info about the game or this project, please don't hesitate to contact me !
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I will take your advise into considerations !
As students we are here to help them create and foster a community around their game so all input is welcomed !
Our role is to find ways to reach to potential players. Indeed the survey won't be of much help for the kickstarter campaign, however we were given some good ideas by our respondents. I am currently consolidating the answers and writing the paper. If you are interested I will be glad to send you a version once it is done !
My apologies again for posting on the wrong website, I thought that designers would have an interest in ways to create a community around their games.
