Hey Guys, wanted to run a game idea by yall.
the game is played on a regular 10x10 checkered board. players place pieces from outside falling towards the middle like the way connect four pieces fall down. The pieces can move till they hit something and stop. There is a pile of objectives that are shapes you are trying to make using your pieces, and each player draws 5 special actions they can play such as spy that lets you jump another piece, or bomb that lets you destroy adjacent pieces and send them back to the owners hand. or even wall, which the piece is permanently fixed on the board once it stops and cant be removed.
the idea is that each person grabs 3 objectives and picks which ones they want to try and make, in a manner like ticket to ride, whichever ones they don't complete they loose. Whenever a shape is complete it is fixed on the board as a wall of neutral color.
On top of that, there will be game objectives that let player get additional points that are drawn at the beginning of the game that will be resolved on the end. some of the objectives being like, largest clump of the same color, most pieces in the two middle lanes, most pieces in a lane. maybe smallest clump could get a bonus.
So there would be general objectives that would give you small amount of points and personal objectives that could give you negative, or BIG points in the end.
What do you think?
Interesting, there could be lower value goals by having two pieces adjacent to each other matching the colourz on the card.
The first piece gets set by the first player. So he gets to designate where to build from.
At least that's what I think would work best. Not sure how great of an advantage that would be
