I got a strange message from the user pioannisduke .
They have been a member 2 days, I have never seen them post, but I got a message today asking for me to do some paid work. How did they find me, how do they know if I even do graphics art, etc. So they might be a legit paying customer; however, be careful everyone. To pioannisduke, if you are legit please give us some more information about yourself and your ideas before asking randomly for some "paid" work to make your games.
I used to have this problem. People would ask me to work for them and then back out of the deal before we hardly got started but costing me plenty of time on my end developing concepts and proposals.
Now when dealing with people or companies with no track record in the industry I ask for an upfront fee. Not the entire payment but a sign of good faith. If they can’t or are not willing to pay I don’t bother with them.
