I've been in China for the last month, and have been taking the chance to tour board game factories while I'm here. Without further ado...

Thanks

I think every designer here should thank you for taking the time to *review* Chinese board game manufacturers!

I personally will be dealing with an American intermediate who will outsource the work to China... But still it helps to know what the options are and who the players are...

Again many thanks!

Nice reviews - I use

Nice reviews - I use factories in China but none of them are on this list.......one is a dice specialist. They allow me to choose pantone colours for dice, laser engraving and mould production available too.

I've had one injection mould made for our game Pocket Cricket which cost $500 per dice - an expensive outlay to begin with but the unit price drops significantly after that.

We also get bags & display boxes made in two other cities. I have them all shipped to me separately and I pack! Yes....it sounds crazy...why not add a little more money and have the workers in the factory put the dice in the bags?

Here's why......we took an order of 10,000 games.....the first box of 500 I opened I check a few for QC and there were some with the same dice....so I had to check all 10,000 after that. If it's my name on the business that produces these...then the QC lies with me!

I'd love to know the names of the guys you use and what each one specializes in. If I get a chance to go back anytime soon, I'll ask them for tours as well and add them to the post.

Wow!

Very informing. There's way too little information on this on the Internet, so thanks for sharing your experience.

I recently made a blog post

I recently made a blog post about Printers/Manufacturers I've used and would welcome input from others that used them or others...
