I have a game that has been honed through about 10 years of testing, with a bank robbery theme. It's part auction, part push your luck. Are there any specific publishers anyone can recommend to submit it to? I can supply more information if anyone needs it.
Recommended publishers?
Well, what are the types of components? Is it mostly cards, and only require a tuck box, or is it a game with a lot of heft? Have you considered low run self-publishing like The Game Crafter?
Is it a light or heavy game? Who is your ideal player? What is your ideal play context? What existing game would you compare this to? Are you looking to turn this game into a franchise (is it readily expandable)?
What region are you in?
Asmodee would definitely be the big one, as they check a lot of your boxes. The have a good selection of more casual games among what they publish, while still having some more gamer games. They do a very good job of packaging their games to aim at a light gaming audience (compared with Mayfair or Rio Grande which are clearly targeted at established gamers).
It consists of a board, cards, pawns, and a few die-cut markers. I was seriously planning to self-publish, but The Dice Tower strongly urged me not to start a company when so many exist already.
It's a light game for 3 to 5 players, ages 12 and up. Ideally it's filler in between heavier games. I can think of one expansion for it (a tile-laying stage I dropped during development). I can't really think of anything to compare it to, but it may remind others of something - I can't say for sure. Ideally, this is for families, or for gamers looking to take a break from something deep and fiddly.
I live in the U.S.
