Is it OK to do some self-promotion if I go ahead and self-publish something? Like I'm weighing pro/con on GameCrafter-ing a game of mine and want to stir up some business/buyers...OK to flaunt it here?

Its ok to make a 'Hey look what i did!' post as long as you don't spam the forums.
That being said you'll do much better posting at BGG. They get a couple of million more visitors.
