I'm currently running my first board game project on Kickstarter (which is about midway through its campaign right now). Getting to this point was a long and difficult road. In an effort to give back to the community of bloggers, gamers, tutorial-writers, etc. which helped me figure out the complicated process of preparing for a Kickstarter campaign, I have decided to create a video blog series called Let's Kickstart This Thing!
Let's Kickstart This Thing! is a series of short, 5-minute (or less) videos in which I attempt to detail all the steps involved in bringing a board game from prototype to production via Kickstarter. I am outlining, step-by-step, everything that I did to prepare for my campaign - starting from the initial paper prototype. I make no guarantee that the order in which I did things is the best, but I will talk about the pros and cons of each step as well as the lessons I learned along the way. I published the first 9 videos recently and will be publishing 2 more this evening. I will try to release new content every few days.
