Where would one go to find an inexpensive sales agreement contract or template if you wanted to publish and sell someones boardgames?

Would you have to go to a lawyer for this, or are there any templates like you can find for generic contracts?

If I have to go through a lawyer, what should I expect as far as pricing goes?

simple example

Good old Tom Jolly has an example contact on his website
http://www.silcom.com/~tomjolly/contract.htm

My experience has varied from single page letter size agreements that just cover the basics to 13 page legal format epics that cover every imaginable contingency and some that seem unimaginable.

It would be worth your while to inquire with a Lawyer on what the cost would be to have a standard contract written up that fits your business needs.

Try setting up an initial consultation...

Many lawyers (and lawyer referral services) will be happy to set up an initial 30-minute consultation with you for a very reasonable fee (I recently consulted with a corporate lawyer for $20 for 30 minutes. I got my referral from the Austin Lawyer Referral Service: http://www.austinlrs.com/). During that consultation, lay out your specific needs, ask the important questions, see if you feel comfortable with the lawyer, and ask what his or her fees are.

I think that's the best way to find out not only what the fees are, but to figure out what you do (or do not) need.

All right, thanks so much for

All right, thanks so much for the help. It sounds like talking to a lawyer is what I will do.

Now another question, what type of lawyer would I look for? This is something I have 0 experience with.
