Hi all
After a fair period of absence i am contemplating re-launching a revised and hopefully improved version of my board game "Evolution" . I made lots of mistakes when i first launched it but loved every aspect of being involved with a board game. It was not and wont ever be an intellectual game but my aim was to produce a fun game with a spattering of educational content. I was wondering how one gets around any residual negative vibes of the previous version. to be fair its not a widely distributed game but i would welcome any advice and any past similar experiences of others. Thanks in advance

cheers

Tony

call it a sequel?

Depending on the scope of the changes, you could release...Evolution II !

I do not have experience re-releasing games, but I have had to clean up various mistakes in the past; it seems to work best if you acknowledge the short comings of the first release, specifically state how you resolved the issues in the next release, and finish off with some new features and design changes. A fresh coat of artwork might help as well...perhaps re-theme if you think the first release is seriously tainted. Take a look at the way Sid Meier's Civilization has evolved over the years...proof that it can be done!

Good luck with your changes!

Hi
Many thanks for those useful comments. There is certainly scope to improve the art work as well.

Regards

Tony
