Hey everyone! I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself since I'm new. My name is Eric, and I represent HobbyHorse Games, LLC, a small company that is currently working on its first tabletop card game.
While tabletop design is pretty new to the team, we've been dabbling in various forms of design for many years now. I myself have some hobby video game design experience, and I'm collaborating with webcomic creators, professional illustrators and other awesome creative individuals. The big thing we all have in common is a longstanding love for tabletop games.
I currently have a medium-polish prototype for a card-based role-playing game that sends Adventurers off on a large series of pre-designed Quests, where they are free to improvise their way towards solutions not unlike a very simplified, condensed D&D. The game allows for a lot of player freedom in executing the rules - and so it probably needs a lot of polishing in terms of defining the rule set. This is one of many things I intend to start testing soon, so please look out for my posts in the Playtesting area in the near future if this sounds interesting to you!
Anyways, I'm excited to join this community and see what I can contribute. I hope to speak with all of you more soon!
Thank you for the well wishes and kind words! I will look more into Fudge. I somehow haven't played Fiasco yet, but Fudge seems flexible but simple which is what I'm trying to achieve.
