Hello. I have been playing board, card, RPG and miniature games for nearly 40 years now. Nearly 30 years ago my friend and I created art and ideas for a role playing game. Over time that fell on the wsy side and about 16 years ago I had created a galactic scale strategy boardgame. It was playtested a little and I checked out a local game publishing company but found I could did not have the funds or support to make it go further.
Four years ago, after the movie Pacific Rim, I wanted someone to create a strategy boardgame based on that, but no luck. So I decided to create one myself in January 2014, originally called Pacific Rim in an attempt to get support from Warner Brothers with no luck. So I decided to create my own version called Kaiju Conquest. https://www.facebook.com/advtocontactgames/
Since then, I have spent the last three years creating the rules, paying an artist, going on various social media sites to share game input, created a blog and forum page, placing game play videos on YouTube, and trying to get it into Kickstarter this year under the company name of ATC (Advance to Contact) Games.
It is surprising to me that I did not know about this site until yesterday, and yet it has been around for so long. I am glad to be a part of it now, and to receive game input as well as share ideas.
Thanks, Stormy. There is a lot to look at on this site.
