It just dawned on me that im making hard on myself. One of the reasons that it is so hard to get published is there are more games being submitted to publishers than they can publish, allot more. I have a plan to help relieve some of the overload and increase my odds.
The most common question of new designers is whether or not someone will try to steal his or her super fantastic world changing idea. I usually try to ease the nervous newcomer so they can participate without fear. This is where I have been going wrong all these years. What I should be doing is encourage the designers to not show the game to anyone unless they are willing to sign a NDA because if they don’t they will be robbed blind and left tied to a lamp post. This would almost certainly keep them out of the running.
Oh well I have learned my lesson. I can always start tomorrow.
