Super-Bee modular board and multiple counters (one for each player)

Super-Bee playtesting with 6 couters

An idea of a modular board crossed through my mind and I wanted to see if it will work for Super-Bee.

My thoughts were that this modular board will allow for a more complex version of the game.

Here are a few positive points I thought the modular board will bring to the game (before playtesting it):

+ it's modular so you can arange the board anyway you want, with suggested ideas in the rule book for levels of complexity, for each various setup; freedom for players to get creative and setup the board as they like it;

Super Bee news update Illustrator Job

Super-Bee playtesting with 6 couters

Hi guys and gals. Since I've posted the job for an illustrator we received a lot of interested from talented people. We want to thank you all and let you know what is happening.
1. The job is still on and we are still waiting for portfolios from people interested in the job;
2. At the end of the month (June 2018) and beginning of the next, we will have a look through all the portfolios received and decide if, and which, are suited for our little project.

It's hard to find playtesters for family games (aka board games for kids)

I have to admit that finding playtesters for Super Bee is a struggle. Board game geeks are looking for cool, big games with miniatures and strategy. Therefore it is hard to convince them to roll the dice and move a counter in search for honey.

Looking for playtesters for "Super-Bee!"

Hi guys and gals,

"Super-Bee" board game has been playtested for a long time, but never went through a "blind playtest", so I feel it is the right time to do it.

Remember, "Super-Bee!" is a kids game, age 6+, for 2-6 players, and take about 10 minute to play. It's a thematic "bee" game, "roll the dice, move the counter and collect honey" type of game. It has a few surprises along the way and interesting mechanics (all the players play with the same counter).

Super-Bee 15.01.2018

I was redoing the rules and I've realised that I managed to get everything in exactly 2 pages! That was my initial goal to make a simple game with rules that are not written on tens of pages. I know from experience that, if a game has a thick rule book, I am dragging playing it. Especially with a game aimed at children, it's really hard to get them at the table for too long. So, explaining the game in a couple of minutes and play it in 10, it's just perfect.

Changes and ideas:

Super-Bee v.5 - updates and issues

It's been 3 years since Super-Bee emerged as an idea. A few weeks ago I've took it out to see what was that all about. So, the new version is quite a little bit changed.

I read the previous entry about the game and it makes me laugh: "101 tokens!" holy smokes that's a lot of tokens... :)

The new version plays in 10 minutes, it's for 2-6 players and has 60 tokens: 9 x Super-Bee, 6 x Male Drone, 6 x Caterpillar and 3 x Spider Web. The rest of them are Honey Jars. It still plays with a single counter shared by all players and with a 3D dice (1-3).

Super-Bee! Board Game

Hi guys,

My new game is called Super-Bee! and its main target audience are children age 5-12. It can be played in 3-6 players and, once every players knows the rules, each game can take up to 20 minutes to be played.

The aim of the game: Find as many Honey Jars as you can and store them in your honeycomb. The player with the most Honey Jars collected wins.

There are 101 tokens (90 regular tokens and 11 special tokens) that gives players special abilities and bonuses and can cause trouble for the opponents.
