Jumanji: Bring back the movie Magic.

When I researched the comercial edition of the Jumanji board game it brought up that first childhood disapointment. A boardgame that fails to capture any 'movie magic' at all. What is missing? I came to the conclusion that it is what the movie shows us, that the story tells. It's missing a story. Without such an engageing topic a boardgame falls flat as a race game or a chess game with little to keep wee ones interested. So I came up with my idea of how to redesign jumanji to 'capture' the movie magic. "tales of the arabian knights' by Zman games was my inspiration.

5d6 a GameBook Dice system.

I came up with an idea for a conflict resolution system. The intent is a system to use for my GameBook "The House of Torment" should I require to use my own creation.

The main requirements of my system is
A. Must use D6's
B. Must use more than 1.
C. Must 'feel' like a rpg system even if it's auctually fairly simple.

I came up with the idea of rolling 5d6 for each and every dice roll.
It's used as a dice pool where you count the number of passes or failures.
You'll always end up with either 3 passes, or 3 failures.
The default threshold is 3 & below for pass.

My first GameBook "The House of Torment" WIP

A while back I started a "Game Book". That's one of those Choose your own Adventure type books but with the 'advanced' style which includes dice rolling R.P.G. elements.

For years I wanted to do my homage to the 1992 video game "Alone in the Dark". Computer compilers failed over and over and no matter what I tried it was always due to a technical difficulty. Now with plain writing in a CYOA style book nothing could fail me. Nothing except bad spelling that is.

FourPack New Instructional Video

This is my rework of the Four Pack instructional video. It turned out quite well without movie maker crashes. (i think i had a bad registry bits) Anyways with only two nights of some light editing I completed this video. Much longer than the first one I strived for consistency and ease of understanding.

New Member - invented games & such

Hello everyone. Im a little new to this forum and how it is laid out and everything. Almost reminds me of the confusing facebook setup. Yes I'm an old stick in the mud.

In short: I'm an old reclusive geezer that likes board games because I spent too much time reading books as a kid when I should have been outside making friends and stuff.

So here I am finally getting outside and doing stuff. A little late but better late than never.
