If you're ever looking for some software to make maps or land masses of some form or function, I've been using Fractal World Explorer and had some good success with it. Just this morning I needed to whip up about half a dozen islands and got so addicted to it I ended with 30 or so.
Yeah, I sound like a shill but I have no interest in the company at all. I just can never seem to find maps when I need one and have used this software for a few designs now and had nice results.
