Hello, all! My name is Ben Nagy, and I'm a game designer new to the forum. I have recently started a game design company with a buddy of mine, and we were accepted into a business startup incubator. As part of our company idea, we want to create a map of where we went, and how we did what we did, so that we can be a resource for other game designers in the future. A few of the topics relevant to all of you that we will be covering on our blog are:
-Posts about Game Design and Design Theory
-Reviews of other small indie game developer's games
-Posts about the business side of things, and making money on bard game design
We are just getting started launching, and I would love to have some feedback from you guys, as far as topics you would like to see in the Game Design Theory Section, what would interest you from the business side of things, and if you guys have any games you'd like us to review publicly on the blog.
Thanks! My hope is that by seeing what we (Pair-A-Dice Games) is doing, and how we're doing it, our success or failure will be able to help others out there. We've been doing months of research, and one thing that has always disappointed me is how secretive the board game industry is about how they conduct business. Hope to hear from you soon!
