If you attend or can try to attend CABS, they have designer meetings once a month. However, as the average attendance at a CABS meeting in general exceeds 100 people, there are always people that are willing to playtest games.
I attended my first time this month and had a blast. Great feedback and an organized group that is not only doing the meetup, but setting plans to help showcase games and getting word to publishers. It's a bit of a drive for me (clocking in at 1.5 hours), but I will be trying to make every CABS Saturday.
First meeting for CABS is free. Otherwise, $5 per session or $50 yearly (with free admission to Buckeye Game Fest and a discount on ORIGINS CABS ribbon).
