I would like to thank everyone here who offered me encouragement and advice. I've received my copy of the game - the quality at TGC is really good. I find the blank dice that they use a little big, and the cuts on the dice stickers are a bit sloppy, but those are the only complaints I have. The game looks great, and my hexagonal cardboard tiles fit perfectly in the spaces on the board that I created for them. The board itself is thick, with a great texture, and will obviously last a long, long time.
We're going to be showing it off at Montreal's Otakuthon this year, so if anyone's planning on headin gup here for that, please visit our table an play a game!
