Greetings fellow gamers and game designers,
I've been thinking about making a war board game for many years and finally was able to come up with an interesting enough premise, engaging enough combat mechanics, and supporting game systems to finally consider producing a game.
At this point I'm just calling the project "GodSlayer Wars" and I'm trying to move things from various word documents into one place and start prototyping.
I found this site on recommendation from a co-worker who is big into board games and have been reading when I can, trying to learn the basics and see if my idea has any fundamental flaws.
So far I haven't found any major holes in my project, but I hope with some conversations with those of you who are interested I can really streamline, edit, and improve my rough ideas into something I can actually eventually self produce and market.
I know it will be a long hard road to get my game on a store shelf, but I think I have what it takes to get it done. At least I hope so.
So, thanks for having a community like this that seems so welcoming and friendly, I haven't seen any flaming going on and that really encourages me.
