My name is Tob and I am an old grognard who got talked into doing some games to appeal to a wider market. Some partners and I have started up Impudent Mortal, a small game company to produce games for the aficionado market. We've got many ideas on the drawing board and a few games in various stages of production. Our first offering goes up on Kickstarter in less than 24 hours.
I've come to BGDF to find like-minded people to keep me in check. I find that when designing games I'm "too close to the edit", meaning I can't be objective about the game from an outside perspective. Being "inside" the game for so long, I can't tell if it's too simple, too complex, too short, too long, too dull, too bizarre, et cetera. You've probably been there yourself! I've taken a good look around here at BGDF and have seen for myself that this is the place for all the informed opinion I'll need.
One subject I'd like to hear opinions on concerns a card game we've been working on. See my post in Theme Design.
If you want to know about the rest of the gang or about some games in progress, you can find us on popular social media outlets.
