I find "hi, here I am" posts to be awkward, but I don't want to start off my interaction with the community by ignoring the suggested approach.
I've been interested in games and puzzles since I was a young kid in the 60's. I've always liked being the GM, making the puzzles, etc. more than just being one of the players or solvers. I've recently extended that approach to board and card games, and I find I really enjoy it.
The first game I made is Jelly Bean Farmers, which I made -- start to finish -- last summer. Now that I've learned a lot more about making games, both here and at BGG, I realize that I did everything wrong. It really needs a complete overhaul, lots more play-testing, much better art, etc. But I'm still pleased that I got it to that point, and I may pick it up again, nearly starting from scratch. But for right now, that game is on hold.
I've got a couple of other projects already started, but nothing even ready for playtest by others. That is, I've done some solo playtesting (or not even that far), found fatal flaws, and haven't come up with solutions, yet.
I really enjoy the brainstorming part of game design, and I expect to jump in on threads where people are asking for suggestions. When I have more time to act on others' suggestions, I'll post some of my current works in progress, but for right now I'm just going to hang out and offer some help where it is requested.
