Hello awesome forum people!
My name is Robert Addison and like many others, am trying to get board games published.
I currently have 2 on the go, one of which is getting rather close to being ready for market (still in play testing). And another that I've done a prototype but and haven't play-tested as much (it will need lots of balancing and tweaks).
The one more completed is a simple fantasy adventure board game with the focus on the difficulties Heroes face leading up to vanquishing the villain. I'm trying to keep it light and humorous, but not slapstick/parody like Munchkins. It has the potential to expand (like Talisman), but I'd rather keep it short & fun with lots of variety for replay-ability. (despite not adding as many options as I could, the time to play is about 20-30mins per player, up to 5). The Ultimate goal for my game is to have players telling stories of their ridiculous adventures that made them laugh out loud.
For Publishing purposes, I'm torn between submitting to a publisher and doing a Kickstarter. I've only now just started building an online presence (I'm not usually a forum type guy). Running A Kickstarter by myself would be incredibly difficult since I would be doing it solo.
