The Game Crafter loves to support indie board game designers and we are happy to sponsor Protospiel Denver with blank prototyping components, assorted game pieces, and promo cards. Protospiel Denver will be held March 13-15 2020 at the Ramada Plaza in Northglenn, Colorado.
The event will host several board game publishers including Thunderworks Games, Toresh Games, Active Magic Games, Mr. B Games, Argyle Games, and Pangea Games. The Colorado game designer community is fired up for their first convention centered entirely around playtesting. They are gearing up to come out in full force with over 80 total attendees pre-registered and a close to 1:1 designer-to-playtester ratio.
To make the most of Protospiel Denver’s first year, the organizers have planned opening and closing parties for the weekend. They’ve also partnered with Clever Playing Cards to host a metagame of Protospiel Bingo which will have prize support from attending publishers along with some other generous donors including Pencil First Games, Laid Back Games, Cloven Fruit Games, McMeeple Games, Letiaman Games, Dice Hate Me Games, and Atlas Games. To round out the special offerings, Denver’s favorite gamer massage therapist, Cori Barker of Reworks Therapeutic Massage, will be providing chair massages for $1 per minute for anyone who gets a little stiff from all the playtesting. It’s shaping up to be a Protospiel weekend to remember!
