We tried it once, darkehorse even made an announcement. We were about 4 or 5 in the room and we all had a great time chatting. I would be up for another chat session during roughly the same time period.

It might encourage greater informal use of the chat room if there were an indication on the main menu that the chat room was occupied. Perhaps we could just put a number next to the chat entry on the lmain menu - something like: Chat (2)

I tend to use the main menu a fair bit to navigate the site and if I noticed there was someone in the chat room I

If you go into the chat room and leave then try to go back in then this message appears

"A user by the name DonB was found in SpielTalk! already with the same IP address as you. The user tables are cleared after 180 seconds when you will be able to re-enter."

I presume this also means that if the chat indicator is polling the user tables to find out who is in there, then this will experience the same sort of lag time.
