Im currently making a game (A card game) and wanted to use certain peoples names in the game (Usually as flavour text) such as "Alice Cooper makes a cameo appearance" or "Britney Spears mentions X during a recent interview" or "Sam Raimi hails it as "'Brilliant'. My question is - can I actually do that?

You should also, of course, take into account what your eventual goal is for the game. If you just want to make a fun game for your family and friends then obviously you can do almost whatever you want. If you have aspirations of selling the game, then certainly you need to worry more about this issue...
