Well you can alway make some jokes about the common cliche found in board games. Or some joke related to a popular game or to some steps of a game developement. I could become the official commic strip of the forum. Using token and cards to represent stuff still fit with the theme of board game.
Just an idea :
A dragon run after a knight, the knight run faster because he want to pass GO, collect 200$ and buy a new weapon.

I guess it's like MONOPOLY. The initial cell is called GO, and every time you complete a turn around the board you get $ 200.
