I was in Target a couple weeks ago, and I saw a board game based on Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. It looked amusing but I had no idea what it was. Friday night I saw a preview for a movie coming out based on the same book.
I looked at the game again, and it sounds at least somewhat interesting. Has anyone seen or played this game? Read the books? Know anything about it?

I saw the same thing in Toys-R-Us and wondered if it was any good. The BGG page for this game doesn't have any reviews yet, but an interesting session report. I don't think I'll pick it up until I hear more buzz about it (on a VERY limited budget). I haven't read the books, but it seems along similar lines to Edward Gorey, or which I'm a big fan.
Now if only they'd hired Knizia to design the tie in game... ;)
I picked this up since I won $60 a few weekends ago (had nothing to lose), I will review it for you after my first play either today or tomorrow.

I've read the books and seen the commercial for the movie, as well as seen the board game. I can't imagine it is fantastic since the story is kind of hard to base a game on (they are releasing a video game on it, they made 20 levels based on the first 3 books, I'm betting 15 of them aren't based on anything).
