Hi again! I'm in the process of developing a game which involves dice. The playtesters seem to like it, and a friend is showing it to a bunch of children.

I'm trying to get my hands on dice with unsual number of sides and/or unusual numbers relatively cheaply. The harder the numbers on the dice are to use (fractions/big numbers), the better. Outside of the normal polyhedral dice you see for things like D&D, I've found (and own a couple of the ones with the stars)

UNUSUAL POLYHEDRA

d3
d5
d7
d14
d16
d24
d30
d34

*hypercubes (d6's inside d6's, generate two-digit numbers 11 to 66) -- a big hit with the people I've shown the game to because it's unusual
d10 hypercubes (d10's inside d10's, generate two digit numbers 00 to 99 -- that was ideally what I was looking for but the closest I saw in the store which I bought the prototype dice from was the d6 one)
transparent dice with three d6's in them (generates numbers 111 to 666)
*d/6 (1/6, 2/6, 3/6... 6/6)
*d/8 (1/8, 2/8...8/8)
*d-6 (-1, -2, ... -6)
d.9 (.0 to .9)
d.09 (.00 to .09)
d.009
d1000 (000 to 900)
d10000 (0000 to 9000)

Where can I get really unusual dice, relatively cheaply?

Thanks in advance,

I would be interested in hearing the rules for your dice game to see if it is anything like the one I am working on. I am using the more common D4, D6, D8, D10, and D12. I think it is a pretty novel concept to use different-sided dice in other types of games besides RPGs.

As for finding the dice you are looking for - www.koplowgames.com/ probably has the biggest variety of types of dice I have ever seen. For better prices, try looking on ebay for specific dice after you know what you want.
