As i mentioned on a previous post, im studing an A-Level graphic design course and have decided to make a board game for my coursework assesement.

Anyways, im hoping to base the game on the James Bond movies and was wondering if anybody has any ideas i could perhaps use for the game.

I have a few in mind but i thought id see if anyone else had any better ones.

Thankyou in advance

That sounds a little too much like "James Ernest's Totally Renamed Spy Game" - which used to be called "Before I Kill You, Mister Bond" - which is a terrific concept but could really do with expanding into a real game; as it is, it's a bit one-note* but has potential.

(*although I guess that's kind of the point, being a Cheapass game and all.)

Are you set on the direct James Bond tie-in? I've always wanted to see a super agent/spy team on a mission type board game. The team members have skills and can be outfitted with tools/weapons ... one player (or perhaps "the game") controls the targetted location for setting up and activating defenses.

Rather like a tabletop board game version of an RPG in a SpyTech setting (perhaps even a kitschy 60s/70s future-tech spy thing).

Hexes or brick-style movement grid on the board, etc.

Perhaps Bond is the entire "team"? Or, like in the beginning of "Golden Eye", Bond works with one or more double-O's to get the job done.

You could make in to a co-op game were one player is Bond, and the others are the baddies.

Bond has to find 3 sets of blueprints to a weapon of some kind hidden in a factory or something. All tiles look the same from the top, but underneath could either be 1 set of blueprints or a weapon. At the begining the baddies set them up to there liking. The weapons are standered weapons like *Bond loses one turn* but the baddies may go around switching the weapons to there liking, such as maybe changing a *lose one turn* tile to *Caught! Lose all blueprints* or something.

Heh, "Double-0", that could be the name of the game. Players could be Double-0 agents, working together to defeat the 'villain' (game system), while in competition with each other to be the best agent.

iMc,

Welcome to the group, and good luck with your project! I agree with Seth. Many of us here are pretty good at coming up with game ideas, but we're also pretty good at making comments and suggestions about ideas that others have presented. Since this is your project, it would probably be best for you to tell us what you have in mind for the project, and we can offer ideas about things you might try out, other similar games you might look at, etc.

Again, best of luck with the project,

Jeff
