Hello all,

I'm a french "serial entrepreneur" who have made several companies (mainly focused on internet business). Since few weeks, i have an idea, a "concept" to launch a board game, in a certain city (outside France).

I'm looking for a creator and/or team of creator to creating for me (like a provider/agency), that i will pay for. (and why not royalty). After i will edit, produce and sell the game. Business is my job, and creating the game may be yours.

TO give you an idea of the "type" of the game i want, i'm looking for game who merge Monopoly and Hotels. I you feel easy with theses types of game, please contact me directly :

alexandre@biznessfactory.com

Thanks,

Alexandre.

Ackkkk!

I seriously doubt you will make anyone here intrested in working on another Monopoly clone. But money, is money.......

Merging Hotel with Monopoly? They are bad enough already, without putting together the two...

sorry for being so deconstructive, I just find the whole idea funny. What is your purpose with it? To make a special kind of marketing material or an enjoyable game?

If the later is your goal, you'll get all the help you need right here, but I suggest to let yourself convinced about building upon another idea. A more original one.

It's amazing how negative we are toward people posting actual jobs or positions. If I were new to the forum and had a legitimate position, I think I would search for talent elsewhere. I couldn't even imagine a critique of a job posting on monster.com. Why do we do it here? Point in case that Hawk727 got a job from a thread that was also pretty negative.

Not trying to start a flame war here, but it sure is easy to put down an outsider, when most of us really need to get any foot in the door we can. If I was an HR guy or a business entrepreneur, I wouldn't know much about the gaming lingo or bad game ideas either. Perhaps the best route would be to get hired, and then redirect the company efforts from the inside. But this guy is probably long gone by now...

SteelShark,

Thank you for pointing out the issue of negative responses. This seems to be a growing issue lately, and I think ALL OF US need to realize that anyone that posts on the forums, should not be bashed or put down for their posts.

I should remind all of us that this is a forum for EVERYONE, beginner designers to pro designers, beginner publisher to pro publishers, beginner prototypers to pro prototypers, and so on. Please remember this when you reply to any post.

Even if you find a post odd, funny, stupid, etc, the person on the other end is seeking advice, input and information. So if you can help them, HELP them, but dont bash them. Just think how unhappy you would be with the BGDF community if others just decided to bash your posts!

Thank you,

Steel,

You are absolutely correct. I hope I have never appeared rude in my responses. My concern is always that these requests are 'drive by postings'; i.e. the person joins, posts a single request looking for game designers, and then is never heard from again. If these job postings came from REPUTABLE members of the community, then there would be no question as to their validity. In this day and age of Internet scamming, one has to carefully weigh how legitimate these posts really are. I personally think that designing any game for a client, even a monopoly/hotels clone, would be thrilling. I hope Alexandre was serious and that he did indeed get some worthy replies to his query.
