Nak-Naks as a game system?

Are you familiar with Nak-Naks?

They were apparently launched by Hasbro as a collectible stacking figures game (think Jenga with poseable "robot" figures), but I'm unclear as to whether or not the product has been EOL'ed. I've recently seen 5-packs of figures at Dollar Tree stores (they initially retailed for $7-$8/pack), but I've also seen different Nak-Nak products at the standard retailers for full price.

I bought about 30 of these (6 5-packs) to play around with, and they just seem to scream to want to do more than just stack (although that's fun, as well).

Supposing these get EOL'ed, what do you suppose the implications of developing a new game based on these figures would be? I'm hoping to get a bunch of them and strip the decals off (since I think they'd be better as generic colored figures), and try to figure out what I can get them to do, game-wise.

Nak-Naks as a game system?

the only real problem I see is Hasbro getting upset if you start to become succesful, that is of course if you try to sell the games....

I'd like to see what can be done with them so as far as that goes I say...do it

There's a link in the first sentence of the first post in this thread (click the word "Nak-Naks" ;) )

Sorry...I forget that this board camouflages its links. (:P @ the obfuscators) ;)
