I've been sitting at my computer for the past few nights...and all I'm drawing is blanks! lol....
Why is it so challenging? Well, I'm trying to make a trivia game but without using a board....does anybody got any ideas?
I'm dying here....:(

I find that a board just makes trivia games boring.
How about this. Each round, there's a dedicated question reader. There are two types of questions, toss-ups and bonus questions.
The toss-ups are read to all the players, and the first one to answer right gets 10 points. If a player interrupts the reading and gets it wrong, they lose 5 points.
When a player gets a question right, they're read a bonus question. It's actually a series of questions worth a total of 30 points. There's different ways to do it like 5-10-15 points, 3 10-pointers or 2 15-pointers, or 5 5-point questions and a 5 point bonus for getting all 5. Anything that totals 30 is fair game.
The number of rounds is equal to the number of players so everyone reads once.

Sounds like a great idea.
Let me let you guys know what I came up with so far (more clarity on my above post which sounded too general).
The game is a trivia game with 5 main catagories. Players roll a die and depending on which die number comes up, they get that catagory...i.e...if the player rolls a "1" they would get the "science & technology" catagory. That takes care of the first five die numbers...which leaves me with the number "6" die. If a player rolls a "6", then they it will be "challenge" time....That's where I'm kinda stuck on...what would the "challenge" be.......maybe special challenge cards?....maybe something with a time limit.....i don' know...
My game is most like going to be played with at least 4 players. Ideally, I am trying to make it a "team" vs "team" game. I hoping to introduce it to classrooms for educational purposes....
Hopefully the info above, it will give you a clearer idea of where I am (or better yet...where I'm stuck)
