Superhero Dice Game

Hello, this is my first post,

Anyways, I'm Making a game with two or more superheroes battling eachother each one played by a different player. It has 7 D6 dice and several (around 60-100) pieces representing Superpowers, Abilities, Gadgets, and Weaknesses. Each player also gets one Hero card to keep track of stats(which have a score of 1-7) name, and powers, abilities, etc.
So, I want to know what you think of it.(i'm not making it as a commercial game, just one me and my friends could play, or maybe put it up on the web for free download)

Setup
At the beginning, each player picks a hero base from a list that has preset beginning stat amounts(the stats are speed, strength, endurance, intelligence, agility, defense, will, and aim). Then the Power pieces are mixed in a pile face-down and each player draws one at a time(you can roll D6 to see who goes first)taking turns. You can draw between 3 and 9 pieces(you can draw 9 and get alot of powers but run the risk of alot of weaknesses). some of the power pieces have stat bonuses or minuses and these are enacted at this time. You can also name your character if you wish.
Attack Phase
At the beginning of each attack phase, each player gains an amount of Attack Points = to their speed x 3. These are used to spend on attacks, powers, and abilities. The person with highest speed goes first, and play then continues taking turns. each turn you may use 1 power, attack, gadget, or ability. pay the cost and then follow the instructions on the piece. You can only use a power, gadget, or ability once per attack phase.
when attacking, Roll an amount of die = to your aim stat, it must be higher than you opp. agility # to hit. if it hits, roll for the damage the power calls for, then add your srength roll onto it. then subtract your opp. def roll from it. then subtract it from your opp. HP(end x 10)(if you attack with no gadget, power, or ability, you do not roll for damage. you simply roll your strength and subtract your opp. def roll, this costs 1AP)
Repeat this until both players are either out of AP or have no moves left they wish to do. then go to the beginning of the next attack phase(AP does not carry over into next phase)
Final Notes
Each power and ability has an attack type(ranged, melee, and mind) and a Power type(fire, beam, radioactive, etc.) Aim acts as strength for ranged attacks and intelligence acts as strength for mind attacks. Will acts as defense for mind attacks. There are also resistance pieces, these give your character a bonus roll for defense against 1 or more Power Types of attacks when you are attacked by that type, these are constant and do not apply to the "once per phase" rule, they happen every single time the circumstance is right.
End
The game is over when all opp. have been reduced to 0 HP

please tell me if you noticed something i didn't. All help appreciated.

so this is basically a role playing game
meets strategy game without the story and on a smaller scale?

I create my character (superhero)
and then battle on a board like a strategy game?

Very similar to hero clix except that you can create your own
character, and the character attributes are more detailed right?

oh ok sorry no board,
I think something is majorly missing.

dice battles to me are dull unless the dice
show personality like Dragon Dice.

Just to roll numbers like in a RPG works because
the story and characters you portray are the main dish.

And the card is just a stat keeper right?

yeah I think you need to add something dude.
just my opinion.

It kind of looks like Buttonmen with a random starting character?

i might add a story, and maybe multiple heroes per person, maybe two modes, one an rpg, and i've seen buttonmen but i don't know the rules and haven't played. and yes, the card is just a stat keeper.

Maybe on a dice you add what kind of attack it is.
Example of a d6

1 Psionic "mental"
2 melee
3 ranged
4 magic
5 item
6 special attack

If your character doesnt have that type of attack, its just a complete miss.

Not bad but definitely lackluster at best, even with your numerous resource pools or whatever. I made a Spacemines dice game and some others and I have the same problem - the mechanics are all too obvious and really don't give you much feel for the SPIRIT of what the game is supposed to represent, plus mine is a bit math heavy, which is weird because I'm not a math fan.

I recommed checking out some other dice games like the plethora of free txt or PDF pro wrestling and martial arts dice games that are available on the net, to see some of their ideas and methods to maybe help inspire you a bit.

I think I am going to put in a comeback thing where whoever lost the most health last round gets to draw a piece(if its a weakness they redraw) so that one player doesn't lose the game just because he got bad powers at the beginning.
