I'm looking for help here. (of course I don't think I've posted anything here without actually looking for help but...) I'm talking to a shop owner about his wooden bits (for games of course) and he mentions a gentleman who apparently makes the most wonderful wooden toys. Company name Pappa Gepetto I believe. I think this is wonderful... the man who makes these toys apparently makes all his own product... shapes the wood and everything. Only problem is I can't find any info on him. All I know is that his company is supposed to be in Esquimalt, British Columbia. If anyone knows of this man and his company, could you provide a bit of contact info for him? I'm thinking that he might be a decent source for good hardwood bits for games as his products all seem to be the proper size for such things.

thanks,
Mike

What was the name of the guy who made Pinnochio (not the person who wrote the story)?

Mort... I definitely think his name was Mort.

Or it could have been Gepetto... I think this is a little bit of a hook for folks who are looking for toys for their little ones. The name ihas a certain 'je ne sais quoi?" or something like that.

You're missing a "p" in the company name. It's Pappa Geppetto's Toys. Google has a lot of links, but a quick perusal of the links only showed companies that sold the toys. There also seems to be matches for legal stuff, and none of the Canadian online phone books I used knew the company name, so... maybe they're not in business anymore, or maybe they were purchased by someone.

Thanks Fastlearner, looks like I'll have to do some roadwork on this. Perhaps I'll go talk to some of the locals in the area and see if anyone of them have heard of the shop or it's owner. Thanks for the input though.
