Anyone know where to get a low rate on Errors and Omissions insurance for a game company?

Has your lawyer suggested you get this type of insurance? From my extremely limited knowledge of it E&O would be the sort of insurance a consultant would get in case one of their clients claim they gave bad advice, that it did them harm, and they are seeking reimbursement for it. As a game producer how would this sort of insurance be beneficial to you in ways that other insurance would not?

Sorry for not being able to answer your question and just making more questions to be answered.

I officially cannot answer that question, if you understand what that means in the business. Unofficially, someone very important wants me to have it, and given what it covers, the likelihood that it will be useful to me is close to nil for most purposes. There are only three reasons I can even think of to logically need it:

a) you are doing a licensed product and you screw up the trademark designation of a licensed subject; nominally this is a slight because your licensor will be approving everything before release, so they'll be approving a poor designation, limiting your liability;

b) you print overseas, the samples look good, you release the product, and 99% of all cards are unreasonable and everyone wants a refund

c) you take down the names and numbers of fans for tournament purposes, and then you accidentally blow it and list them on a public web space instead of an internal web space and everyone sues you for violating your privacy notice.

The latest issue of Games Quarterly Catalog (#57) lists one insurance broker in the Vendors & Services section in the back of the book who claims to also be a member of ASTRA (American Specialty Toy Retailer Association). He is certainly likely to be familiar with E&O policies (if not the best price) and could be a benchmark for you. For what it's worth:
