In my NCCG (Novel Customizable Card Game) players can use character cards to add more variety and or strategic moves or add more points to their monsters on the field. My problem is; for the archer class; is there a ranking tier system for upgrade? For my knight class there are three tier levels that includes 14 levels to become a top knotch knight. Need help please and thanks.
Archer tier?
Do you mean should archer's have tiers at all or do you mean tiers like distance shot, accurate shot, moving shot with several ranks in each tier?
I don't know if you like the idea, but you could use different types of shooters: sling-man, darts-man, crossbow-man, ..., archer.
Another option is to place an adjective before the name: rookie, skilled, fine, pro, ...
Or you can use some sort of military ranking.
Also "marksman", "dead-eye", "crack shot".
I think the knight progression should be Page, Squire, then Knight. A serf is effectively a Peasant.
As for archer, depending on whether you have these as other classes you could go - sling -> Crossbow -> Longbow.
You also have bow related jobs. Fletcher, Bowyer, Hunter, Ranger, Marksman, Sniper (yes that can apply to bows), Scout, Trapper, Deerstalker.
And you can use "apprentice" and "master" to triple the list.
As to minotaurs, where I come from there was one minotaur and he was killed by Theseus. If you want to make minotaur a class you will half to write your own book. The word "asterion" however is associated with the minotaur, maybe you could use that
Yes basically does an archer have rank names when leveling up? For an example. My knight character class starts out as a Page. Then levels up to a serf then upto a knight. Within each level there are sublevels to obtain to become a better hero or heroine or worse villian for the villian characters. So my question is does an archer have a starting point like that of the knight or does the archer just get better with equipment and building arrows that are better shot from afar?
