Is it possible to compare a game such as Magic the Gathering to another game such a Yu-Gi-Oh!???
I am sure the differences are PLENTY. BUT still in a "condensed" fashion, would someone be able to distinguish both games (major elements/differences).
The reason I ask this is because I am on a path to better understand how a game such as MtG is different from a game like Yu-Gi-Oh! My current card game feels like an "enhanced" version of a Yu-Gi-Oh! game (without the major flaws - and still a dual that allows more people in on the game).
So if someone asks me the question how does your game compare to Yu-Gi-Oh! I have little problem comparing the two. However when it comes to comparing with MtG, I'm not certain where I would begin...
From Grall Ritnos response regarding the different phases of a turn and the different types of cards. I now understand that MtG is a more complexe and in-depth game than Yu-Gi-Oh! There are significantly more phases to a turn and most due to the mechanics used by the game.
