Hi everyone!
I am rather new to the forums and with this being my third post I thought I might make a positive contribution to the community.
What contribution? You might ask. Well, as I was wondering the expanses of google the other day I stumbled upon a blog by Ian Schreiber. You might know him as one of the writers of Challenges for Game Designers. The blog can be found here: http://gamedesignconcepts.wordpress.com/
Here you will find a 20 module game design course. Originally, sign-up were for 2009 but it has since been released for public consumption and for free! But why am I telling you fine ladies and gentlemen all this? Well, for one the course focuses on board game design so chances are it is right up your alley. More importantly, the course itself is best taken with others!
Who then would like to take the plunge with me into the unknown? The course has significances for both the new and experienced designer. I would suggest that we do one module a week for a total of 20 weeks but this is rather flexible.
If you are interested or have any questions or comments at all, post bellow! I am looking forward to hearing what you think and starting an adventure with those of you who are interested.
Actually, the original plan was to start in December as I am also quite busy this month. I have no problem waiting until mid-December. It will also give us a bit more time to gather interest for the course. I am looking forward to discussing it further when you get settled in. :)
