We are taking our game Stockpile to kickstarter in less than a week, and we would love to get more eyes on the rules and make sure we didn't make any mistakes. Thanks for taking the time to look them over. Please let me know what isn't clear.

The Rules can be found here: www.nauvoogames.com/Stockpile_Rules.pdf

Thanks!

I'll be honest, economic spec/trading games are not my cup of tea, but I did breeze through the rulebook in case anything jumped out-

1) I LOVE the artwork! Seriously, kudos to your artist.
2) The rules make sense to me on a glance. I assume you've given the game dozens and dozens of playtests before taking it to KS.
3) Include a Reference Card for each player since some of the phases are very similar.
4) I like the orange clarification text smattered throughout. I'd normally suggest condensing these into a single FAQ page, but this rulebook is so small that this actually makes sense.
5) For some reason I really enjoy the offset number tracks.

I'm not one for stock games, but this game looks solid. Good luck on KS!!

Thanks for the feedback and

Thanks for the feedback and complements. We were really blessed with great artist and graphic designers.

We do have the phase order on the player boards, and we are putting a rules summary on the back of the rules. Hopefully that will be enough, since the rules aren't too complicated.

We do have room at the end of the rules that we might add an FAQ, but it might depend on a few factors.

I'm glad you liked the offset number tracks. I do too, but it does bother a few.

Thanks for taking your time to look at the rules and share your impressions. If you ever get a chance to play it, I think you'll find it doesn't feel like a stock game. Most people that don't like stock games still enjoy this game. I think people will be pleasantly surprised. It still works well with the theme, but it just doesn't have the same feel as your normal Stock market game. This is probably because it centers around hidden information. It's all about out guessing the other players.

Very nicely written rules

I tried hard to find errors, ambiguities, or loopholes, but I couldn't find any.

A trivial grammatical comment: In Demand Phase point 4, either remove the comma in "Meeple, and all", or change it to "Meeple, and collect all"

kos

Nicely done - visually the rules look great. Didn't see any obvious errors or typos after a quick sweep. Not sure I would put information on the expansion or the giant blank credit pages in for a Kickstarter.

Is the game really playable in 45 minutes?

Thanks!

Yes, if it's everyone's first game it may last closer to an hour, but by the 2nd and future games almost always hit that sweet spot for game length of 40-50 min.
