What other web resources are out the for game makers, besides BGDF and BGG? Or is there a list here that I am missing.

The Game Crafter has both
The Game Crafter has both game design forums and live chat. For example, as I speak there is a live chat with 18 people going on about an RPG design.
Another thing I highly recommend is following game designer's blogs. They often have great little nuggets of info in there. Here are a couple I follow (though I follow about 15):

And another thing you may want to do is get on academic mailing lists related to games. For example, I belong to a mailing list for Games and Learning in Society (GLS) sponsored by the University of Wisconsin.
