Basically, I'm looking for input on the question asked in the subject...there are a metric crap-ton of zombie games out there. Some are good, some are...not so good. Is there a market for a well-designed, balanced, fun zombie game? Why or why not?
Without getting into mechanics, etc., would you consider purchasing a zombie themed game if you felt it was well done?
Thanks for any replies!

Thanks everyone for the responses so far. Your opinions seem to match the response I've gotten from talking to others, and the opinion I had before posting here...I searched the term "zombie" on BGG and there were 2 pages of games or expansions with "zombie" in the title, but the highest rated one is 7.1 or so. Not that BGG ratings are the end all and be all, but the range of ratings for those games is a good indicator of the quality of the games out there.
I'll post another reply with the "backstory" that was submitted; responses appreciated. Then perhaps we'll get into some of the game mechanics as they were described to us in the general submission. Keep in mind that this idea was sent to us but the game isn't fleshed out and doesn't have a prototype made or anything...it's more me building off this idea to see if a good game can be made of it.
