This game features cards, dice, suspense of survival, and your own bodies, or other wise known as a “physical game”. M’kay, moving on. Why is it called a “Live Action Survival Roleplaying Game”? Well let’s go through the points!

LIVE ACTION
——————
Also known as a “physical game”, this is where you act out your actions. So instead of moving a tile, you move yourself. The best way of explaining it is like Maze Runner or Hunger Games. If you want more information on “live action” games, watch those movies.

SURVIVAL
—————
If you don’t know what surviving is...read a dictionary.

ROLEPLAYING
———————
Each player will be equipped with dice to roll for their actions. Ex. Fighting, How good an item is, etc.

GAME
———
You should know what a game is.

Thank you for your time. That is my new idea for a game. Just putting it out there.

Doesn't sound like LARP

Dice? Doesn't sound like live action roleplaying.

"Actually"

Thats funny Elkobold of the link. But we know what LARPING is. Not trying to be sarcastic. But in his game , he will be using dice. I am pretty sure in some LARPING storylines, not like the links you have provided but dice can help settle arguments or rules or whatever. Its whatever the DM, GM or storyteller wants to add in his game.

This game of his sounds like fun to play through. I like outside the box designing thinking games. The way SuperTooned explained to me and we talked about the gameplay, yes, dice will be needed.

A game or storyline can be whatever you want it to be. A mixture of tons or billions of different mechanices thrown in and you can only choose three mechanics with the theme and genre. Rules are just guidelines. There made to be broken for house rules.

But I chuckled at what you had in mind as you put up the LARPING link. Just (shaking my head) chuckling. Your funny.

Thank you!

Thank you Elkobold, but I know what LARPing is. I’ve done it for five years now. The game is LARPing, but with dice and cards included. You still LARP.

Also...Thank you Stormy, but I can handle myself.

That video looks like a bunch of "idio... people" wanting to just bash on each other. I've seem similar videos from around my own area - which also look something similar. That's NOT LARP-ing. That's people unleashing their aggression on other "idio... people".

Real LARP-ing is about LIVE "Adventure". There is no "adventure" in a simulating battles between two sides... That's just a Bash-Fest. Sometimes LARP-ing uses RPS as a way to resolve combat, and there are character classes similar to D&D where a Sorceress can throw out a Pouch of sand which signifies that a spell has been casted... And then the DM needs to resolve this by using either RPS or some other method such as flipping a coin, etc.

That's way too violent behavior to be LARP-ing. Like I said earlier - it's a Bash-Fest.

Real LARP-ing is less physical and more mental. With players performing actions that interrupt a physical encounter between two opposing parties or perhaps just a DM Monster creature, etc.

It's also a day long journey ... which usually ends up at the tavern where people can talk about their "adventures" of the day - the ups and downs. Sometimes it blends camping too... which means that it could be a weekend outing too!

That video != LARP-ing. Bash-Fest.

Dear QuestCCG and Elkobold

Dear “idio...people”,

If you want to discuss what real LARPing is, I’ve made another forum,

http://www.bgdf.com/node/20637

Please don’t argue in my forum. This is about my game. Not about what real LARPing is. Thank you.

What sort of venue and

What sort of venue and headcount are you picturing? What sort of GM load do you see?

When I was giving serious thought to opening an escape room, I explored a lot of live action elements. One thing as a gamer, I had in an "escape the evil genius's lair" scenario was roles for characters and powers such as "super strength" where the player had a special glove with an rfid and would have to wear it to lift a "super heavy" box.

A survival sceario would be pretty cool if it was a game kit that like a corporation could buy to run team-building exercises in house.

I never thought of selling it

That is exactly what I designed my game for. I mean, I didn’t have selling it to companies in mind at the time. I designed this for my company and team, Twin Eagle Graphics. The headcount I was thinking of are my team members, but as many people as you want could play this game. There would be one GM or DM and they would control the enemies, special actions, and would generally make sure everything goes smoothly.

Thank you for your input. I appreciate discussion about the game.

We play-tested!

My team and I play tested Error 404 today and it went amazingly. Two hours and 30 minutes of gameplay. The story was amazing and it was fantastic. By the way, I named the game Error 404. I have decided how the store will work and how many cards you need.

That is all.

Thank you, John! It really was a fun game. Error 404 has many different playthroughs and many different endings. It is whatever the DM decides during the game! A lot of the game is dedicated to LARPING and role-playing. It’s quite fun!

Our sincere thank you from Twin Eagle Graphics!

Error 404

Our CEO of Twin Eagle Graphics Independent Game Studio has done wonderful job on creating his game.

It was exciting, suspenseful, interactive, challenging to figure out the storyline. Players could co-op together or played solo.

The encounters were imaginative.

Congratulations to our CEO.
