Hi!
Back in 2015 I had an idea of doing a bare-knuckle fighting game loosely set in the Victorian era. I did a few illustrations and even posted something about it here. Then life happened, I changed job and started working long hours. Somehow, the game project got buried.
A year ago, life happened again and I got a daughter. Now I am taking a few months off to raise my little girl. As it happened, she sleeps 2-3 hours a day. Somehow, the game project resurrected and is now almost finished.
I have a working edition that has been play-tested furiously by me, my wife and a couple of friends (yes, I should and I will expand that circle shortly). I have some polishing to do on the graphic design and fonts, but other than that, I'm rather pleased.
Gameplay is fast and action packed. You can do all the classic punches (such as jab, hook, uppercut and cross) as well as power punches (such as haymaker, spinning backfist, hammerfist and overhand) and of course combinations as well as some illegal moves (such as stomp, knee, elbow and headbutt) as that was all common back then. On top of that you have special cards such as "taunt" and "feint". The illustrations are very light-hearted and the game is just intended as a simple filler and celebration of the good old heritage of boxing.
One thing is missing though, and that is a good solid name.
I wanted to go with "Fisticuffs" as that would have been rather spot on. But unfortunately that was taken not so long ago.
So, here's my list of names so far. Would love your input, and possibly, your name suggestions. If I pick your name for the final version, you will of course get a free copy of the game.
1. Bare Knuckle Slugfest
2. Bare Knuckle Fighting
3. Bare Knuckle Prizefight
4. Bare Knuckle Brawl
5. Victorian Prizefight
6. Fisticuffs Frenzy
7. Prizefight
Thank you in advance for any help and taking your time. Cheers!

Thank you! Only thing with "brawl" is that I worry that it doesn't fully capture that the competitions was regulated to some extent. They were called "prizefights" and did have at least a few rules. A brawl seems more unstructured and spontaneous. But I agree that it has a rather good ring to it.
