Hi everyone! I have been lurking on here for the last few months while developing my own card game/board game hybrid. The first version of the rules is all but set, and right now I am creating the card list. All of the stats and card type for each is done (there are 3 factions, each faction's cards have identical stats for now). What I would love is for some help from all of you coming up with unit ideas for the cards.
Factions:
Haven - abandoned human colony, very much a modern military feel
Union - group of advanced civilizations that is trying to bring Haven into its interstellar alliance (Haven is resisting, of course!)
Autonomy - clandestine organization made of Union dissidents who want planets and species to be able to rule over themselves
Unit types:
Infantry (basic, defense, anti-vehicle, anti-infantry)
Vehicle (light, medium, heavy)
Hero
What I would love is to hear some ideas on what can fill in the following spots:
Haven:
Medium vehicle (want to stay away from "tank" if possible, their light vehicle sort of like an ATV, their heavy vehicle is converted industrial equipment as they were not prepared for the invasion)
Union:
Light Vehicle
Medium Vehicle
Heavy Vehicle

Good point. I will be giving all units proper names as you suggested. Most of the units I have now are called things like "Auger", "Vanguard", "Reapers" etc.
I just like having the basic idea of what the unit will be. For the Union, the reason I don't have any vehicle ideas at the moment is because I can't get away from them all being some sort of drone or having all of them be too similar, if that makes any sense.
