Fellow Game Designers,

Check out my board game creating engine at https://www.GameStructor.com You can create your own online board game! Game boards, decks, dice, are drawn with pixel art. Create a brand new game or change up your favorite game. Create role playing maps or a crazy games with your own art.

After you create your game you can play it online with your friends and family within your own private game room. Games are played in real time, without emails or browser refreshing. The game rooms can support card games, board games, dice games, or any game consisting of all three.

Need ideas or inspiration to create your own game? Search other games created within GameStructor. Templates are provided to streamline game creation and you can copy other public game components. This is a community of fun and imagination. The game combinations are endless.

This application is in Beta so may run into a bug or two. Please let me know of these or any features you require.

Release Update

New features and bug fixes have been applied to https://www.GameStructor.com

* Image upload is now available. This is a tool for creating original artwork not importing copyrighted material.

* Removed color picker buttons.

* Pagination persistence is turned on.

* Games can be created without boards, decks, and dice.

* Added info in game creating process to not use "turn based game" option for play testing

Hi. For me, your page

Hi. For me, your page redirects to a 'secure' page (https) and it produces a warning that your page does not verify as being secure, and says I should not go there.

works fine for me?

I do get directed to the HTTPS version, but no warning of anything fishy. Site is legit - check it out.

Release Updates: Users can now make their games public. Public games are now searchable and other users can now play them. Gamestructor now has a set of free games that are available to all users.

gravatar updates - visible in chats, game room, lobby, and defaults retro face
flippable tiles
randomizable tiles
updated token drawing canvas - to be opaque.
Tooltip bug fix missing on a lot of UI controls
Gameroom bugfix creating tokens - rare instance where tokens being dropped off

My 2 cents

Congratulations on getting this far! I really do like the look and feel of the site. :)

Having said that (sorry) I find it harder to use than Tabletopia. My major issue is having to create the board tile by tile. Unfortunately, the printer I use for physical copies of my games requires a full piece of art to print a board and it would be nice to use that art to create a board in GameStructor. I may be missing something, I didn't dig too deep.

The amount of work you have done so far, and the results, are really impressive though. So kudos to you!

I'm looking forward to seeing how development progresses!

Next Board Update

Thanks for the feedback. I will prioritize the next board updates to allow full piece art in conjunction with transparent tiles.

Game Feedback Upcomming

My next release will allow users to give feed back to game designers. Users whom give positive/constructive feedback consistently will have the option to become recognized play testers within the site. Please provide me with your ideas and what you would like to see in the upcoming release.

Version 1.13 just released!

Game feed back is now possible and games are now ranked. Ranking is calculated by it's component complexity, popularity, and rating. Rewards will be given in the upcoming release for users who provide quality feedback and build playable fun games is within community.

Wow, this is actually cool! I

Wow, this is actually cool! I haven't tried it out much, but I guess it's like, essentially, you create the board and all the pieces, then set up the game and then play it like you would any physical board game, dragging pieces across the board, rolling dice, etc.?
Seems like an interesting idea. Like, you're not programming an online game; you're literally just recreating the game and all its pieces on the computer.

Updates

Based on feedback, I've added in the ability to search your decks during game play as requested for deck building games. Game creation workflow and board creation workflow has also been updated so you can edit child components and jump back to creating your game and board without losing saved work. More to come.

Release updates

A new release has just been deployed which will allow image import on all game components without a pixelation option. This new feature is only available for Ultra members or members reaching 30 reputation. This was a big release so I hope you enjoy these updates.
