I came up with a board game idea I wanted to bounce off the forum.
Players take the role of a power utility and race each other to be the first utility to design, license, and build a nuclear power plant.
I know nuclear power is a heavily debated subject, but the industry is seeing a bit of a revival in the US. The game would only appeal to those interested in the industry or folks with technical/science leanings, but I think it would be a neat idea.
The mechanics of the game would be managing human resources (of differing expertise: Engineering, Licensing, and Construction) and assigning them to steps that must be completed in the process. The steps would require a unique mix of expertise and the order in which the step must be completed would be semi-rigid. I think this would allow for several successful strategies to emerge.
I am close to completed a preliminary revision of the rules set and will post them here for comments. I also have no idea what I should call the game. Any help with that would be appreciated.
Thanks
