Hello all,
I'm developing a (series of?) game(s?) based around the escape room concept. I need blind playtesters to give it a try and rip it to shreds. As this is a public forum, I would like to keep the files in private messages. Post a reply below, and I will give you the link. :)
What is contrary to most "escape room" type games, is that this design is reusable immediately after play. With a digital component, the game could be further replayable.
I use an "Expert" player as the main mechanic. This Expert isn't an "Overlord", as in Descent or Imperial Assault. The Expert is an equal player in the grand scheme. He/she is directly responsible for giving the information needed to the other players to solve their puzzles.
This game is in real time. The players have a set time limit to solve all the puzzles. The time limit is variable based on the number of players. (2 min per player, but I'm still figuring out the ideal timing.)
I'm excited to get this in the hands of my fellow designers, and I look forward to your input. Thank you in advance!
It hypothetically needs a minimum of two. One player will have multiple jobs at that point. Basically managing several puzzles at once. I haven't tried 2 players all that much, though, as I normally play at a pub games night.
