Hi again,

We're also currently searching for illustrators. Our games are heavily fantasy-themed with lighthearted comic aspects. Most of our games are conflict-based, with diverse races promoting values like honor etc. In case you are interested to work with us on our projects and to be creator of our "babies' faces", please let us know. You may post a link to your portfolio here on the forum so that other designers may also use the list for their needs.

Thanks for your interest.

We're actually in the process of pitching our first to be released game, so I just gave you a very general information of what we're looking for. I'll be back with more detailed information on the project next Monday.

To answer your questions:
1. The gig IS paid.
2. We'll be requiring banners for our site (not released yet), card and token artwork, (mainly character design), playing boards (maps, battlegrounds, city overviews etc...).

I'll be glad to answer anymore of your questions!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for taking time to apply through our post. We're still searching for one of You! As I've promised, here comes the update with more details about the game.
The game is taking place in a fantasy world, where nothing is what it seems. The game consists of core map/playing board, which should be clear and attractive. 4 more overviews of battlefields/overviews of landscape, 33 different character-designs for card format and also a miniature token format. Another 30 cards for events and hero abilities (elemental magic mostly). Box design for the game and about 5 banners for our official site which is to be announced. While our games are set in fantasy world, we are planning to use more "cartoon-ish" style for the art to lighten the atmosphere and make it more accessible. Our estimate is that there's about 100 hours of work to be done (VERY rough estimate). The deadline is 27.3.2011.
In case you are interested, please send us your estimate for how long it would take you to create the art mentioned together with your desired salary conditions. We will contact the most promising artists on Wednesday January 19 2011 with a short assignment which should not take you more then 2 hours at max. to accomplish, and this will be key to determining your future cooperation with Ritter Realities.

!UPDATE!

Dear Community,

Thank You for your applications and tips on fantastic artists!

After many long evenings discussing among us (Ritter Realities team), we have decided to opt for a less challenging and art demanding piece for our premiere release. The game mentioned above, will still get published, and we are so looking forward to work on it with one of You!
The game we found most "doable" for us at this point, is a fast paced card game that will serve as an intro to our universe and it's epic story. The game features 32 different cards, mostly character design and about 3 more pieces of art for our official website (banners).
As there are still new applications coming in, we will wait with sending the assignments to the most promising of you until Friday January 21st 2011. It will explain the theme/mood of the game and the world it's taking place within. What we will ask of you is to select any character design from the game, and send us your visual interpretation of it.

Again, thank You very much for Your professional approach and we are looking forward to our cooperation.
