The Game Crafter is looking to add a bunch of new meeples in 2018. What custom meeple shapes would you want if you could have anything at all?
What custom meeples do you want?
Pirates
Dinosaurs
Robots
Rabbits. Lops and those with straight ears. (www.rabbitmatchthegame.com)
Stylized (i.e. Valentines)hearts in multiple colors.
I'd love to see some dungeon crawl bad guys: ie goblins, orcs, skeletons things like that. Ha! You already have gelatinous cubes!
I saw hearts on the parts list.
For me, I'd like to see
Chess pieces (including some of the more common fairy chess pieces in each style)
Transparent convex markers (sort of a cross between a "gem" and a "wink")
but you asked about meeples. What seems to be missing are
construction/handyman meeple
"noble" meeple (crowned)
"suit" meeple (modern nobles... might just be a teeny tiny sticker of a tie on a regular meeple)
meeple-compatible vehicles (like the cube-compatible ones, but have space for a "driver")
IF you are talking about the "traditional" MEEPLE ... I find those much too small... If they could be 1" (inch) in width maybe ... well then I could find them useful as "pawns" for games...
But I've seen how small the meeples are and even with nice stickers - to me... They are much too small.
I would really like to see a larger 1" (inch) x 1" (inch) - not a half that size... Meeple.
Could be the "Jumbo" Meeple!!! Anyways just contributing to the convo.
I would like to see a larger array of animeeples. There are lots of farm ones, but I'm not aware of too many in Jungle theme (monkeys, panthers, jaguars, tigers, sloths, gorillas, various birds, anacondas, etc.), Savanna theme (lions, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, hyenas, armadillos, hippos, crocodiles, alligators, zebras, chimpanzees, gazelle, etc), Mountain/Forrest theme (bear, deer, goats, rams, mountain lion, buffulo, yak, muskox, llamas, wolves, foxes, squirrels, etc.), Arctic/Antarctic theme (seals, walruses, penguins, polar bears, narwhals, arctic fox, etc.), Oceanic theme (huge selection to choose from here), Desert theme (scorpions, camels, camel spiders, snakes, owls, etc.), Coastal theme, and well you get the idea.
Top animeeples for me would be Narwhal, Emu, Foxes, Tarzier, Thorny Dragon, Hellbender Salamander, Sloth and Blue footed boobie.
I think it'd be neat to have elemental and/or mana symbols.
Snowflake = Cold
Flame/Fireball = Heat/Fire
Tree = Wood
Droplet = Water
Spiral = Void
? = Air
etc.
I'm working on a couple games that use numbered meeples.
Various colors of meeples with 1, 2, or 3 printed on them would be fantastic.
Something like this:
Is clear meeple stickers a possibility? Like these but on clear sticker paper:

Gabe could use them for his numbered meeples and other designers would probably even find additional uses.
Or even clear dice stickers would work.
Sailing ships, sloops, frigates, etc
Monster and hero meeples (Minotaur, medusa, Perseus, etc)
Thanks :)
Various colors of meeples with 1, 2, or 3 printed on them would be fantastic.
Why not use "standard" meeples and print a sticker with the number on it? It's simpler and makes for better looking meeples too.
I think what The Game Crafter is looking for is what kind of "shapes" would you like meeples to come in.
What would be nice is CUSTOM "stickers" too... So if you have a "Wizard" meeple (with a wizard's hat + robes) we could create a sticker with his hat and beard but also his robe vs. requiring pants...
Here's a sample from Meeple Source:
Something along that ... would be very interesting indeed! And instead of PAINTED we could apply a custom sticker... Just some ideas about how to make this feasible...
More resources would be great.
Corn, tomato, pumpkin, etc.
Seeing as I missed out on backing the deluxe version of Dinosaur Island, dinosaur meeples would be perfect.
Do you mean that you just want numbers, or you want a Carcassonne style maple with a number on it? or something else?
