I read here a lot, but I've never posted. I'm always looking for some way to mass produce a game project on a smaller level. Recently I discovered 2 things: 1. 4 color process business cards and 2. Kickstarter.com. I combined the two to make a short run version of my game, Lines of Fire.
Lines of Fire is a quick, fast paced, medieval themed battle game. You use creatures to protect your castle and attack your opponents castle using the same creatures. The mechanics are simple and the artwork is really nice. We put it on Kickstarter looking to get the additional $350.00 needed to complete the project. We managed to get enough pledges in just 4 days, which is insane. We've had a lot of support from other designers and others who have used Kickstarter before. If you haven't used it, it's a great tool for funding. You still need to push your project, but they provide you with the necessary setup to accept pledges.
The reason for this post is because we still have copies of the game on Kickstarter. The project ends on Thursday 9/30. If this is something that you may be interested in, you can get a copy of the game delivered anywhere in the USA for $15.00. Since we've passed our goal, any funds received here will help produce our next game. I'm not taking any money from this.
Thanks!! Hope to start posting here more often. I'm not too vocal, but I'm always reading.

Thanks! Things have gone really well so far, and it was completely unexpected. Having support from outside of my friends and family has been the best part.
